Question1: What are the types of token available from finatiQ?
Answer:

There are 2 types of token available; the hardware token and the SMS token.

Question2: Can I choose my token color?
Answer:

No. You are not allowed to choose your token color as they have been specially designed to be identified as property of the bank.

Question3: How should I store my token?
Answer:

Please do not expose your hardware token to extreme temperatures. Leaving your hardware token in areas with abnormally high or low temperatures (E.g. car trunk, clothes dryer, sun, etc.) may damage the plastic shell and cause problems with the device. We also recommend you keep the token in a cool dry place.

Question4: What must I do if the token battery runs out?
Answer:

The hardware token battery cannot be replaced.  We will provide a replacement for devices with flat batteries.  For security reasons, tampering with the device will cause it to cease functioning.  Please contact us at 1800 438 3883 for assistance.

Question5: How long will the battery last?
Answer:

The battery should last about 3 to 5 years depending on the volume of usage.

Question6: How do I know when the Battery is running low?
Answer:

The LCD screen will start to display “BATT” before showing the OTP. This indicates the battery is running low and you should contact the Bank for replacement arrangements. Please do not attempt to replace the battery for the hardware token as it is designed to be tamper-proof. Tampering with the internal parts of your hardware token will cause the device to malfunction. Furthermore, replacement of tampered hardware token will be chargeable. You should always contact the Bank for any replacement arrangements.

Answer:

The hardware token is battery operated.

Question8: How does the new Hardware Token look like?
Answer:

The hardware token is in white and red and it bears OCBC Bank’s logo on the centre top of LCD screen.
