Question1: Can I add another person to my existing account?
Answer:

 

Yes. An account may have a maximum of four account holders.
 
If the new applicant is already an existing finatiQ account holder, he/she will need to log into his/her own account and select 'Account application', 'Add to Account holder account' and key in your account number to add himself/herself to your account.  The application form needs to be printed and mailed in duly signed by all the existing account holder(s) and applicants with photocopies of all parties' NRICs (front and back).
 
If the new applicant is not an existing finatiQ account holder, he/she needs to go to our website and select 'Banking', 'Accounts', 'Add account holder account' to key in your account number and his/her personal particulars to add himself/herself to your account.  The applicant will need to mail in the application form signed by all the existing account holder(s) and the applicant and together with the required supporting documents indicated on the application form.

Question2: Can I add a joint account holder over the phone?
Answer:
No, an account holder cannot be added over the phone.  Please follow the steps stated in the above question.

Question3: Can I include a person as a joint account holder if he or she has an existing account with finatiQ?
Answer:
Yes, existing account holders can be added as joint account holders to another account.

Question4: Can I share my password with a family member?
Answer:
No, passwords cannot be shared. Any misuse is the responsibility of the account holder.

Question5: What authority do joint account holders hold?
Answer:
Any joint account holder is authorised to conduct any transactions for the account. However, signatures from all existing account holders are required to add or remove a joint account holder and for account closure.

Question6: Do I need to pay a fee to add a joint account holder to my account?
Answer:
No.  There is no fee charged to add a account holder to an existing account.

Question7: How long does it take to add a joint account holder to my account?
Answer:
The process takes about two working days from the time finatiQ receives the application form and the required supporting documents.

Question8: Do I need to seek the consent of existing joint account holders to add a new joint account holder?
Answer:
Yes, all existing joint account holders must sign the request form indicating their consent to add an additional joint account holder.
