Question2: What sort of security features are provided?
Answer: finatiQ employs state of the art security measures to ensure the confidentiality of your transactions and personal information:

Browser Protocol
The SSL 3.0 (Secure Socket Layer) protocol resides in all browsers (Versions 4.0 and higher) and provides privacy for data flowing between the browser and finatiQ. Customers will know that they are accessing a secured site protected by SSL when they see a URL that begins with "https" or you see the locked padlock (Netscape Navigator) or solid key (Internet Explorer) icon in the bottom left of their browser window.

Digital Certificates
Certificates allow individuals or organisations to electronically verify the identity of counter-parties. Customers can ensure that they are communicating with finatiQ and not an impostor by examining a secured page's certificate:
  • Internet Explorer 4.x users: Select "Properties" from the File menu and click on the "Certificates" button.
  • Netscape Navigator users: Select "Document Info" from the View menu.

Firewalls
Firewalls are industrial strength computer hardware and software that provide a secure buffer between the Internet and our internal web servers and computer systems. Firewalls prevent unauthorised Internet traffic from reaching finatiQ’s secure data and systems.

Encryption
Encryption is the process of scrambling data into an unreadable format before transmitting it over the Internet. finatiQ utilises Global Server ID's to transmit your investment information using 128-bit triple DES encryption technology, the highest level of security currently available in North America. Encryption ensures that any data transmitted would be unreadable if intercepted by a third party.

Question3: How do you protect your password?
Answer:

Important tips on choosing a suitable password and safeguarding it:
• Do not choose a password that is easily identifiable such as your User ID, telephone number, identification number, birth date, etc.
• The password should be alpha-numeric (at least 1 number or 1 alphabet)
• Minimum 6 characters and not more than 9 characters.
• Password is case-sensitive.
• Avoid using repeated or sequential numbers in the password.
• Do not reveal the password to anyone.
• Do not write the password or use it where someone else can see it.
• Change the password immediately if there is reason to suspect that others know about it.
• Change the password regularly. Password can be changed anytime by using the "Change of Password" service.

Note: No staff or agent of the Bank should ever ask you for the password for whatever reasons. As an added security measure, make sure that the password is not stored in the computer.
