Savings in this account can be used for property purchase, approved investments, insurance, education and transfers to top-up your retirement account.

Central Provident Fund Investment Scheme Special Account (CPFIS-SA)
The savings in this account are for old age and contingency purposes. You make a lump sum or regular transfers from an ordinary account into this account up to a maximum amount of S$40,000. These transfers are not reversible.

Close-Ended Fund
A fund that has a fixed number of shares outstanding. Once a close-ended fund has received subscriptions for all of its shares, the fund is considered closed to new investors. To allow new investors to subscribe from the redemption of existing investors, close-ended funds are often listed on a major stock exchange.
