Established in 1996, SG Asset Management (SGAM) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Société Générale Group. As of end December 2007, SGAM has over US$527 billion assets under management.

The parent company, Société Générale Group is present in and active throughout the world in 82 countries, and employs 151,000 staff.

SGAM is structured around 4 investment centres located in the main financial markets: Paris, London, USA (Los Angeles and New York), Asia (Tokyo and Singapore). Each investment centre specialises in specific markets and products and is pooled at group level.

SGAM's investment process favours active and qualitative management and is based on the local expertise of each investment team throughout the world.At end-December 2007, there are more than 2900 investment professionals, located all over the world, managing a wide array of products and offering numerous investment management styles

SG Asset Management (Singapore) Ltd is SGAM's regional head office for the Asia Pacific excluding Japan region. SGAM's track record and presence in Singapore dates back to 1989.

In 1998, total staff strength stood at 25 with assets under management of US$1.48 Billion. Today, total staff strength has grown to more than 50, with more than US$2.9 billion assets under management (as at end-December 07). SG Asset Management (Singapore) Ltd is also awarded the status of Approved Fund Manager Company under the Central Provident Board Investment Scheme (CPFIS), allowing our funds to be distributed via the CPF channel.

The Singapore office offers SGAM's global and specialist asset management expertise to clients in Asia Pacific ex Japan region, comprising dedicated mandates and mutual funds.

In addition, SG Asset Management (Singapore) Ltd manages all the Asia Pacific ex Japan mandates for the Group and is committed to providing the highest level of asset management expertise to clients globally.
